FINLAND'S "ELITE"
EMBRACES EU CONSTITUTION AND BANS DEMOCRACY
DATELINE: 10TH MARCH 2006 INTRODUCTION Jens-Peter Bonde, the Danish MEP and long time defender of democratic nationhood in Europe, wrote this briefing after a visit to Finland. As in many other once free nations of Europe the corrupt political class is forcing through the surrender to the new Euro-State of their own population - despite the people's total rejection of the new imperialism. The irony in Finland is that they are celebrating 100 years of their own sovereign constitution - just as their politicians are surrendering it! In the week of the death of Milosevic, anti-Serb propaganda reaches a peak with not a single word of praise for a people who have in all three European Wars of the 2oth century proved their anti-fascist credentials. Instead it is the propaganda of Croatian fascism, German imperialism and BBC appeasement which defends the attack on Yugoslavia (illegal on at least 7 counts under international law) and its break up into the same petty nationalist states with clerical fascist governments which Nazism and Fascism constructed in the 1940s. With such widespread propaganda broadcast by a spineless and ignorant journalist class throughout Europe it is no surprise to see a recently democratised Finland now governed by an anti-democratic pseudo elite bent on surrender to that new combination of German imperialism and European Fascism which is the European Union. Here is Jens Peter Bonde's report: The President of the Finnish Parliament, former Prime Minister Paavo
Lipponen, told us that he is in favour of an early ratification of the
EU Constitution. The Finnish Government have sent a White Paper on the
Constitution to the Finish Parliament. They will now start deliberations
on The Finnish Prime Minister, Vanhanen, is not keen on being involved in a conflict before his European presidency. He is not the person to push the matter. However, he is not the person to block the process either. In the Convention I worked with him for a referendum on the Constitution. He must have forgotten that when he became Prime Minister, because he rejects that now - thus illustrating the old proverb: "It's the job that decides, not the person." The majority in the Finnish Parliament and all parties except a small minority of individuals want the EU Constitution now. We only heard one single voice of opposition during our visit: Timo Soini of the True Finns party. Everyone else in Parliament was pleased with the Constitution, which I doubt most of them have even read. At the same time support for the European Union in Finland has reached its lowest level ever in opinion polls. The appeasement policy of the Finnish elite towards Brussels was striking. I understand Finnish security interests in EU membership, but why sign a Constitution that will reduce Finnish democracy in the very year when they celebrate 100 years of Finnish democracy? The ratification of the one and the celebration of the other may indeed coincide on the same days in June. What a paradox! The Finnish Constitution gives all the power to the Finnish voters. In the proposed EU Constitution you can only indirectly find the normal democratic principles. Those people we vote for at national level cannot make proposals in the EU. All EU proposals are made by people that we cannot elect or select. In Finland and all other democracies the elected members of parliament decide the laws. You can have a new majority at the next elections and then change the law by means of new legislation. This fundamental democratic principle does not exist in the European cooperation or in the proposed EU Constitution. In the EU 85% of all laws are effectively decided by civil servants behind closed doors, and the remaining 15% by ministers and civil servants together. As a derogation from that, members of the European Parliament can influence EU law-making by proposing amendments to EU laws coming from the EU Council and Commission when they are supported by an absolute majority of the Parliament's members, which require agreement between left and right. (Note this traditional euro-fascist method used since the inception of the EU. The national constitutions are destroyed by a bare majority of those who vote while to reverse any constitutional measure requires either unanimity or very high majority hurdles, calculated on the basis of ALL voting members, not just those who vote, as is the case within nation states when they vote to abolish themselves - ed). We now need to re-start the debate on the content of the proposed EU
Constitution before it will be ratified in more countries. Since the
French and Dutch voters killed the Constitution, it has been ratified
in Luxembourg, Malta, Cyprus, Latvia and Belgium. Estonia and Finland
are on In the European Parliament my "Group for Independence and Democracy" is buying a bus to travel throughout Europe to meet the voters and debate the proposed EU Constitution and our alternatives with them. The Swedes were given a vote on the Euro and because they massively rejected it they were not given a vote on the EU Constitution. (Swedish industry was one of the most efficient collaborators with the Nazis during the war. For example when British bombers succeeded in putting the German ball-bearing factories out of action it was a Swedish company which stepped up production to help the Nazis): SWEDISH DEMOCRATS DEFEAT EU CORPORATISTS "It was a mistake to have a referendum in Sweden.
Why do we have the expertise of politicians (sic!) when we throw away
one issue to the public which does not have the knowledge?" The massive defeat for the euro-federalist ruling class in Sweden will be seen in years to come as a turning point in the defeat of the German-dominated, corporatist Euro-State. Only once has any nation in Europe been asked specifically whether they wanted to abolish their currency, central bank, Treasury and (what remains of) their democracy in favour of the Euro run from Frankfurt - and Sweden rejected it by the overwhelming majority of 56% to 41%. And this despite the "Yes" side outspending the opposition by more than 5 to 1........................... SWEDES PROVE FASCIST NATURE OF THE EU It was reported in early December by EU Observer that there will be
no referendum in Sweden on the new EU Constitution. Of course to be
more precise we should say "a new Swedish Constitution". |
